Ski World Cup 2026: World Cup feeling in the middle of the Salzkammergut

Clear the stage for the Dachstein West ski region

In the centre of the Dachstein West ski region the Hornspitz becomes a racing stage. At the end of December, where enjoyable turns usually take centre stage, it's all about hundredths and top performances. It's a première for the Dachstein West ski region: for the first time, the Women's World Cup will be held here for the first time - bringing international flair to the Salzkammergut on 28 and 29 December 2026 with a women's giant slalom and slalom. Salzkammergut which is known for its mountains and lakes, its customs and traditions, its culinary delights and its warmth.

Skiing with a panoramic view

The Dachstein West ski region is one of the most popular winter sports regions in Austria - especially for families and connoisseurs. Wide pistes, sunny slopes and impressive views of the Dachstein massif make every day of skiing special. Around the Dachstein West ski region, sporting challenges are combined with relaxing moments - it is precisely this mix that makes the region so appealing.

The Ski World Cup in the Dachstein West ski region will take place on 28 and 29 December 2026 with a giant slalom and women's slalom on the Hornspitz. It brings movement to the Salzkammergut and provides special moments - on the course and beyond.
