Brewing, cooking and catering have been carried out here for four generations - with calm naturalness and a lot of passion. Host Regina Vitzthum lives hospitality not as a job, but as an attitude: "For me, being a host means that people count. That is a value that has remained - and should remain."
The traditional Braugasthof is located directly on the cycle path and has long been a home away from home for business guests, bikers and leisure cyclists. Eight lovingly designed hotel rooms, a lockable bicycle garage with an e-bike charging station, a separate guest shower for the last refreshment before the journey home - here, thought has been put into the design. Built in an environmentally friendly way, largely self-sufficient since July 2025, open seven days a week. Sleep, recharge, roll on.
Sleep in a Märzen, wake up in a Pilsner
A special detail reveals how closely everything here belongs together: each room bears the name of a beer from the hotel's own brewery. Märzen, Export, Pils, Weissbier, Falstaff or Premium - even the door signs tell their story and were made from the glass bottles of the respective type. Inside: simple, classic, timeless. A well thought-out concept without frills. "Our beer is natural. No standard flavour, no industrial standard. We don't pasteurise - we brew with love."
Beer with character - and stories
Brewed with attitude and tradition. A draught beer after a bike ride? Regina's favourite is a refreshing Export. A bitter Pilsner with a meal. And a dark premium with vanilla ice cream - not a strong beer, but a fine accompaniment. Even the family dog has a suitable name: Stout. A speciality is the fasting beer, which few people know about. Inspired by her husband's studies in Freising-Weihenstephan, it is celebrated with a Lenten sermon and its own tapping - a rarity that is hard to find elsewhere. Brewery tours, refreshments, overnight stays: Everything goes hand in hand.
Happiness often has two wheels
In her free time, Regina enjoys travelling by e-bike - preferably along the Mattig, with a view over the Mattig Valley. "For me, happiness is sitting in the sun, taking a break - and the children next to you. It's often the little things." Escaping everyday life for a few days, unwinding, good food, good beer, time with the family. Every season has its own charm here. A place to take a deep breath. A real paradise for relaxation. "If everyone is healthy and the business is running well - then it's just right." And this is exactly the feeling that cyclists take with them when they move on: a quiet feeling of happiness. Really now.
