Forget the time - feel freedom.
1 route – 10 stages and countless dreamily beautiful impressions: This is what the Salzkammergut BergeSeen eTrail offers, the eMTB route in the Salzkammergut.
The Salzkammergut, known for its beautiful landscape, numerous lakes, and lush green meadows and fields, can now be experienced in a new way. The BergeSeen eTrail leads over 615 km and 14,000 meters of elevation through the region. It is thus not the shortest eMTB route but surely leads to the most beautiful places in the Salzkammergut.
Not only did the emperor love the summer retreat in the Salzkammergut back then, but many artists and intellectuals also preferred to spend their summer in the region – with or without a bike. Following in their footsteps, you can now dive back into this world of inspiration and relaxation by eMTB.
Directions:In a long circular route of 10 daily stages, the BergeSeen eTrail leads from Mondsee in Upper Austria over the picturesque Irrsee to the emerald green Fuschlsee and further over the Faistenauer Schafberg, Hintersee, Ebenau, and the Strubklamm to Faistenau, from there over the Zwölferhorn to Strobl on Wolfgangsee. The path continues over the Postalm, the Gschütt Pass, the Hornspitz to Gosau and to the Vorderer Gosausee with the famous Dachstein view.
Via the Durchgangalm, the route leads into the World Heritage Region Hallstatt, from where you cycle along the Hallstätter See via Bad Goisern, Leisling, and Altaussee to Bad Aussee in Styria.
From Bad Aussee there is a Styrian loop via Bad Mitterndorf, along the Schnecken and the Grundlsee. The path leads from Altaussee over the Rettenbachalm and the Ewige Wand to Bad Ischl, the spa town where the emperor once strolled.
From Bad Ischl, the route targets Gmunden and the Grünberg with the picturesque Laudachsee, Grünau in the Almtal. It then continues over the Alm- and Offensee to Ebensee, and across the Langbath Lakes to Steinbach am Attersee. From there, the loop returns over the Eisenaualm and along the Attersee via Unterach and Nußdorf back to Mondsee.

Additional information:As new figures on the field of mountain and recreational sports, we e-MTB riders have a special responsibility to behave appropriately.
In Graubünden, bikers and hikers share the paths. A project that should become a model. But this only works with mutual respect. Black sheep set us back years.
With common rules of the game, we ensure that the forest continues to be a unique recreational area and living space as well as a workplace for everyone.
Information on cycling in the forest from the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Regions, and Tourism.
