Vienna - Attersee bathing train

This summer, for the first time, there is a very special train connection that takes passengers from Vienna to the beautiful Attersee. This is made possible by the co-operation between the transport companies Westbahn and Stern & Hafferl.

From July, the Westbahn will depart every Saturday and Sunday at 7.38 a.m. from the Westbahnhof in Vienna and stop in the towns of St. Pölten, Amstetten, Linz, Wels, Attnang-Puchheim and Vöcklabruck. At 9.37 a.m. it reaches Vöcklamarkt, where a Stern & Hafferl train is waiting to take passengers to Lake Attersee. Arrival at Lake Attersee is at 10.00 a.m.: perfect for the start of a day of swimming! There are three public bathing areas and a lido within walking distance of the bus stop on Lake Attersee. You can also reach other places on the shores of Lake Attersee by bus or boat. Enjoy a day of pure splashing fun on the turquoise-blue lake!

In the evening, the train leaves Attersee at 18:58 to return to Vienna. After changing trains in Vöcklamarkt, it arrives at Vienna Westbahnhof about 150 minutes later.
