The 80th anniversary of the end of the war in 1945 and thus the end of the Nazi reign of terror will be celebrated on 8 May 2025.

On the same day after the inauguration of the "Stone of Offence" in the spa gardens of Bad Goisern, a highly interesting lecture on "The last days of the war in Goisern" by Dr Michael Kurz took place. Michael Kurz.

One of the last acts of war probably took place in Goisern, on 7 May  a Wehrmacht column was shot at by American planes, the Agathawirtsstadl went up in flames and the Austrian freedom movement took power.
