Easy circular hike with an elevation gain of around 125 meters and a walking time of around 2 hours at a leisurely pace, ideal for families. At the end, you can take a break at the Thekla Chapel, where a bench invites you to linger. Right next to it, accessible via a small bridge, there is a stream area for playing and climbing.
The fitness trail in St. Lorenz runs along the Drachenwand, has only slight differences in altitude and is therefore ideal for children. At the same time, there is a real hiking feeling, as the narrow path leads mostly through the forest and offers plenty to discover along the way. At the end, it is worth taking a break at the Thekla Chapel with seating; right next to it, a stream area, accessible via a small bridge, invites you to play and climb.Starting from the via ferrata parking lot, follow the road towards Thalgau for about 750 meters. At the "Theklakapelle" signpost, turn left, pass a farm and follow the forest road uphill into the forest. At the next yellow signpost in the direction of Thekla, turn left onto hiking trail no. 11 - this is where the actual fitness trail begins and most of the altitude meters have been covered. Then follow the path for around 1.3 kilometers to the Thekla Chapel, which is ideal for a rest. The way back is either along the same route or directly down to the road and back to the starting point.
