From a sporting point of view, the S202 Goiserer Sonnenseiten loop offers an ascent of 630 meters in altitude over less than 20 kilometers, with the majority of this ascent to be mastered in the first few kilometers.

The S202 Goiserer Sonnenseiten Runde is a varied and scenic tour for gravel bikes in the Salzkammergut.

The route starts at the Landhotel Agathawirt, a cozy bike hotel with regional cuisine and wellness area. The hotel is also a founding member of the famous Dachstein circuit. From there, follow the cycle path along the main road to Stambach. Once you reach an underpass, turn off into a residential area and follow the road to the Wiesen district, which leads up to the panoramic road offering a magnificent view of the Dachstein massif.

The Panoramastraße is a narrow and winding road that winds through the forest and across meadows. Along the panoramic road, you have plenty of time to admire the architecture of the Salzkammergut from the farms and houses as you ascend. There is also an enclosure with red deer along the way. Please do not feed the animals! We can reward ourselves with a detour to the Rathlucken Hütte and the Ewige Wand. You can do this if you are only in the region once. Otherwise, many other routes almost always lead past this dream spot and the fantastic hut and you can catch up on these two highlights at a later date.The route continues to the Predigstuhl parking lot, a popular vantage point, where you also pass the Predigstuhl reading hotel, then leave the asphalt road and take the forest road on the left that leads to the Rossmoosalm.

The Rossmoosalm is a rustic alpine hut with a sun terrace overlooking an impressive alpine landscape with a view of the Dachstein glacier. From there, the Rothmoos road leads through a magical mixed forest down to Flowiesen. The Rothmoos road is a wide and flat gravel road that is easy to ride. After a while, you will also pass close to the Schwarzenbachloch. A cave where Protestants practiced their faith in secret in days gone by when it was forbidden. A detour takes about 20 minutes along a hiking trail. Note your footwear! Not directly recommended with classic racing bike shoes. It rejoins the asphalt road that leads back to St. Agatha. Continue past the Schützenhaus until you reach a crossroads, where you turn right and return to the starting point at the Landhotel Agathawirt.

The S202 Goiserer Sonnenseiten loop is around 18.6 km long and has an elevation gain of around 650 meters. It is suitable for gravel bikes with a medium to good level of fitness and riding technique. The tour offers many beautiful views and nature experiences in the Salzkammergut. It is ideal for a half-day excursion or an after-work tour.
