Altenfelden Zoo is located in the Upper Mühlviertel and is open 365 days a year.

The owl adventure trail was opened here in October 2019. The trail provides impressive insights into the mysterious life of the silent night hunters - from breeding and habitat to food procurement. The zoo in Altenfelden is home to around 213 animal species. The variety of species ranges from little owls to wolves. The zoo is also home to exotic animals such as the cheetah and the Chapman zebra. The diverse range of animals, a large playground and well-maintained hiking trails covering around 80 hectares offer families a varied excursion experience.
