This route or circular hike takes us over the steep Buchberg almost exclusively on field and forest paths and climbs to Elz. The "Etzlstorferhäusl" below the "Eder-Hof" is really interesting. It is worth making a detour to the Augenbründl and the Schalenstein. Following the successful renovation of the village, the old farms and the little church with its Gothic statues of saints in Elz are well worth a visit.
Here we also meet the "Burgen- und Schlösserweg", which leads into the beautiful Flanitztal valley to Gutau. At the end of the village, the K 33 hiking trail branches off to Kefermarkt.
Tip: In Elz, take a short detour to the Pechölstein.
