Cosy tour through the wintery Hengstpaß region
The historic route of the Proviantweg connected the Garstner Valley with the Styrian Eisenwurzen via the Hengstpaß in the heyday of the "Black Count".
Now turn right towards Egglalm. At the second bridge and a hut, ascend the hollow path. Follow the slightly ascending forest road and enjoy the snowy landscape to the full.
The alpine pastures are only open in summer.
Take a right along the stream back to the starting point.
