Wildererweg family - the Hutberg trail is a wild outdoor scavenger hunt for the whole family

Drive to the parking lot below the Baumschlagerberg alpine resort. Turn left and walk across the steep meadow until you reach the edge of the forest. Right at the start, you’ll find activity brochures and pens—grab one right away! The entire trail is marked with wooden signs and the Wildererweg logo.

Walk straight across the meadow to the edge of the forest. At the starting point, head right to Station 1, where you’ll find the climbing wall and the first station, “Courage & Strength.” Continue along the forest road, then turn left into the woods, where hares are hiding as part of the second station, “Orientation.” Keep hiking through the woods until you reach the alpine meadow, where you’ll find the sensory box and the third station, “Intuition.” Across the meadow, you’ll reach the Steyrsbergerreith. From here, you’ll enjoy a magnificent view of the rugged peaks of the Totes Gebirge. From the rustic hut, the trail is all downhill. After the Weiderost, follow the path into the forest. Right at the start, you’ll see the lookout, which marks the fourth station, “Weitblick.” Follow the forest path until the sign directs you to the left. Here, search the overgrown hollows for animal tracks, which are part of the fifth station, “Scharfsinn.”
The sixth station, “Ausdauer,” is optional; the trail is adventurous, but the view from the “Stoderer Weitblick” platform is all the more beautiful for it. Once you’ve reached the summit, you can return to the seventh station via the well-secured trail and the forest path. Here, you can put your “marksmanship” to the test at the shooting range. Now head steeply downhill to the edge of the forest, where the scavenger hunt ends at the eighth station, “Wall of Fame.” Leave your mark!
