AUSTRIA'S LARGEST AQUAPARK

Austria's largest aquapark has been open at SeeSeitn Feldkirchen since June 2021. Climb, jump, slide or simply splash around on 2,450 m2: The TÜV-certified park offers space for 239 people and a course with two levels of difficulty.

Tickets for the aqua park are available directly from the Jetlake Shop.

In addition to the AQAPARK, JETLAKE is home to two of the most modern water ski lifts in Austria and a large Caribbean white sandy beach.

The concept of sports scientist Dr Roland Werthner invites you to train or simply have fun at 21 stations and over 100 pieces of equipment (which address all areas of coordination and fitness). The motor skills park is open all year round and is freely accessible!

The owner of the bathing lakes is the Land Oberösterreich.

• A year-round dog ban applies in the entire bathing lake area.
• Grilling or open fires are not permitted.
• Tenting and camping are not permitted.
• Motorhomes or motorhome-like vehicles have the option of booking a pitch at Campingplatz Puchner after consultation and for your holiday stay. Details at https://www.camping-puchner.at/.
• Boating, sailing or windsurfing. Boating, sailing or windsurfing is prohibited on the lakes due to the regulation of the province of Upper Austria as lake operator.
• Fishing is not permitted during bathing operations (otherwise only with appropriate authorisation).

Natur aus Menschenhand...  
Schottergruben wurden und werden an mehreren Stellen entlang der Donau angelegt. Manche sind heute zu Badeseen und somit zu Naherholungsgebieten geworden oder werden für die Fischerei genutzt. Auch die Badeseen in Feldkirchen sind so entstanden. Aktuelle Abbaugenehmigungen sind auf eine möglichst naturnahe Entwicklung nach dem Abbau ausgelegt. In ungestörten Flachuferbereichen können sich artenreiche Pflanzenbestände entwickeln. Sie besitzen außerdem eine wichtige Bedeutung für die Vogel- und Amphibienwelt. Das Vorhandensein von Rohbodenstandorten und Steilwänden machen Schottergruben ebenfalls naturschutzfachlich wertvoll.

Die Geschichte von Dr. Faust ist weithin bekannt. Hier am Landshaager Berg musst ihm der Teufel ein Schloss errichten, das vom Volk Fausstöckl genannt wird. Dr. Faust hatte mit dem Teufel an seiner Seite große Macht - mit Konsequenzen. Mehr dazu weiß die Donau-Sage "Die Macht und ihr Preis".

Chronik    
Im Jahre 1875 haben sich die Ortsgemeinden Feldkirchen, Bergheim, Freudenstein, Lacken, Landshaag, Mühldorf und Mühllacken zur Gemeinde Feldkirchen konstituiert, die Markterhebung wurde 1985 gefeiert. Das Wappen symbolisiert das Wasser (blau) von Donau und Pesenbach, die Landwirtschaft (gelb) mit den fruchtbaren Ebenen und dem freistehenden Kirchturm. Fläche: 39,49 km2, Einwohner aktuell: 5144, Ortschaften 24. Als Tourismusgemeinde in zentraler Lage mit umfassender Freizeitinfrastruktur und einer Vielzahl an Beherbergungs- und Gastronomiebetrieben gewann Feldkirchen an der Donau sehr große Bedeutung.

Der Kerzenstein befindet sich im wildromantischen und sagenreichen Pesenbachtal und ist das Wahrzeichen des Naturschutzgebietes.

Das ganz in der Nähe von Feldkirchen liegende Bad Mühlacken ist ein bekannter und beliebter Kneipp-Kurort, dessen "Heil-Wasser" schon manch schlimme Krankheit kuriert hat.

The THALHAMMERs  - a place with a special history in the Danube region - is located at Feldkirchner Badesee, where the glistening water and the tranquillity of nature set the pace. What began in the 1970s as a small bathing buffet kiosk run by Maria and Hubert Thalhammer has developed into a popular year-round restaurant thanks to the commitment of their son Robert. It is a place where guests can feel the warmth of a family that has created something unique over decades with courage, passion and solidarity - a combination of contemporary enjoyment and deeply rooted history.
 
"Holiday feeling on the lake - that's our motto," says Robert Thalhammer proudly. You can tell that every seasonal speciality is prepared with great dedication. The attention to detail can also be seen in the rich and varied breakfast buffet, which guests can look forward to all year round. Between the Italian holiday feeling with bruschetta and tomato risotto and the classics such as Wiener schnitzel and baked potatoes, there is something for everyone. A visit to the Thalhammer family is also worthwhile during the asparagus season or for fresh fish - because all products are sourced from regional suppliers. "With us, you can simply unwind and enjoy life," adds Robert - if you want, you can spend the whole day in the restaurant, bar and café: enjoy breakfast on the beach loungers and then savour dinner with a view of the lake and live music. Events also find a special setting here. From weddings to company celebrations - THALHAMMERs is the perfect location for special occasions.
 
For several decades, THALHAMMERs has been an indispensable part of the Danube region. In the heart of the Eferding Basin, a region known for its fertile soils, the restaurant's connection to its homeland can be felt in every carefully prepared dish. Fresh vegetables, aromatic herbs and seasonal asparagus from the surrounding area around Eferding are used in their dishes. This abundance of natural resources not only characterises the landscape, but also the cuisine at THALHAMMERs.
 
What makes THALHAMMERs so special is the variety of experiences it offers its guests: In summer, the restaurant opens up completely to the lake, so the beach area with its loungers and the new floating jetty bring a little Ibiza feeling to Upper Austria. In winter, the cosy atmosphere in the comfortably warm conservatory is a tempting place to enjoy a cup of tea and the view of the tranquil lake. THALHAMMERs is located directly on the Donauradweg and along the Eferdinger-Land-Runde, as well as close to the Schlösserrunde on the Donausteig, which is why a visit by bike or hiking boots is particularly worthwhile.

The classic inn, run by the 4th generation, popular for its home cooking, homemade specialities, selected wines and friendly service. In addition to our various guest rooms, which can be flexibly designed and used for any event, we offer seven double rooms with shower and WC (some also available as 3-bed rooms).

Summer special July and August: Traditional barbecue evenings in the winter and guest garden with a wonderful salad buffet and various meat products from the region at fair prices. Children feel especially at home - a huge playground, visible from the guest garden, is available.

For generations, Wirtshaus Wögerer has stood for passion for gastronomy and family commitment. Karl Wögerer - who took over the business from his father - and his son Christoph Wögerer are at the forefront. Christoph is the chef of the house and always endeavours to develop the culinary delights. You can tell that father and son not only look after their guests, but also look after the inn. For the family, the historic building is the centre of good food and years of tradition. What began as an inn back in 1868 was converted into a bakery for a short time by Karl's father, until Karl finally combined the two after he took over and opened an inn with its own bakery. While guests can dine in the restaurant, bread is still baked in the adjoining bakery - not only for the inn, but also for anyone who wants to take it home with them. The Wögerer family can seat around 270 guests, who can enjoy a varied menu ranging from classic specialities such as roast pork with a crispy vinegar and salt crust to home-baked bread. From homemade breadcrumbs made from coarse white breadcrumbs to first-class regional meat from the farmer or farmer's wife around the corner - quality is the top priority here. In addition to the many seasonal dishes that change every month, Christoph always tries to incorporate his own modern creations - including a particular highlight of the kitchen: the game burger. Whether you prefer hearty, savoury dishes or vegan food, there is something here for every taste - younger guests and regulars alike enjoy the modern-traditional mix of the inn.
 
As a proud member of Kultiwirte and with AMA certification, Christoph and Karl focus on regionality and quality. Carefully selected ingredients from the region and a high standard of preparation are only part of what makes Wirtshaus Wögerer an important part of the region. Above all, it is the warm atmosphere and attentive service that make every guest feel at home. As ambassadors for the Danube region, Christoph and Karl are also involved in the volunteer fire brigade alongside their professional passion or enjoy time out hunting.
 
The inn is located directly on the Danube Cycle Path R1 and is therefore a popular destination for cyclists and tourists. Popular excursion destinations for cycling or hiking tours are the Schloegen-Linz cycle route, the Schlösserrunde and the 6-Seen-Runde - all in the immediate vicinity.
