R203 Discovery cycle tour (lake variant - Austrian side)

An alternative route of the Discovery Cycle Tour along the many lakes in the Discovery Quarter.

The 180-kilometer loop can be comfortably cycled in three to four days. Depending on your mood. This is because the region only has a few gentle climbs. The multi-day tour is characterized by views, nature, culture and culinary delights.

Passing 6 bathing lakes on the Austrian side, there are plenty of opportunities to cool off here! In the south, the route also leads to the Ibmer Moor. In the west, along the border rivers Inn and Salzach, there are wonderful resting places that offer a view of the world's longest castle or the Inn-Salzach confluence. Always with the option to continue cycling on the Bavarian side!

Around 90% of the route is on asphalt paths, the rest on wide, paved gravel paths.
Around 70% of the route is on side roads.
