Domorgelsommer 2026: Kaleidoscope

20.08.2026 / 20:00
Linz, New Cathedral - Mariendom
Festival, Musikveranstaltung, Konzert

Between Leipzig and Vienna

The winner of the 2025 Franz Schmidt Competition, Susanne Werpechowski, spans a broad spectrum of the German-speaking organ tradition—from Johann Sebastian Bach through August Gottfried Ritter and Max Reger to Franz Schmidt. Baroque clarity, expansive Romantic structures, and the richly colored harmonies of the late Romantic period come together, causing the many timbres of the Rudigier organ to spin like a kaleidoscope—between Leipzig and Vienna.
