High Point University Chamber Players

The High Point Chamber Players, under the direction of Dr Brian Meixner, is a diverse group of talented woodwind, brass, string and percussion students at High Point University.

The ensemble consists of majors, minors and students from other majors.
These students are members of numerous HPU ensembles, including the Symphony Orchestra, wind ensembles, jazz ensembles and a wide variety of chamber music.

The High Point Chamber Players is a 38-member ensemble that focuses primarily on the performance of American music.

The repertoire ranges from traditional music to works from other genres  with cutting-edge repertoire.
The High Point University Music Department celebrates the creation and enjoyment of music by all people as an expression of their humanity and culture. We are committed to fostering the creativity of all students by expanding their musical knowledge and experience. Our unique curriculum integrates theory and practice and encourages students to recognise the connections between their individual studies and their active participation.

Music students at High Point University also interact with a wide range of guest artists, including renowned scholars, educators and health care professionals, clinicians, arts entrepreneurs and artists from the international concert, opera and music industries.
