Mühlviertel Gravel: Eastside

The route starts at the Hotel Freigold in Freistadt, where you head east, cycling leisurely out into the peaceful, rolling hills of the Mühlviertel. Via Zelletau, the route takes you along a mix of side roads, gravel paths, and forest trails, leading deeper and deeper into the region’s characteristic granite landscape dotted with meadows and fields. The most beautiful sections of the tour await you in St. Oswald and on the Braunberg: flowing forest trails, short, challenging climbs, and sweeping views over the Mühlviertel—perfect for gravel bikes and e-MTBs. The route then takes you back to FREIGOLD via Lasberg on quiet roads and gravel paths, where you can round out the tour at the Sky Spa or with a drink on the terrace.
