S15 Kirchschlag Loop

The S15 Kirchschlag Loop starts in the town center of Kirchschlag near Linz and initially follows quiet side roads through the varied landscape of the SternGartl toward Zwettl an der Rodl. The route runs along the scenic ridges east of the Rodl Valley, offering frequent beautiful views of the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel.

In the northern section of the loop, the route skirts the area around Zwettl an der Rodl and then continues over the ridges toward Hellmonsödt. The alternation between open meadows, agriculturally dominated highlands, and shaded forest sections makes this part of the tour particularly varied.

In the Hellmonsödt area, the route heads south through the distinctive cultural landscape of the SternGartl. On quiet side roads, it passes isolated farms and small settlements on the way back toward Kirchschlag near Linz. Along the way, magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the nearby Linz Basin open up time and again.

Finally, the route leads back to the starting point in the center of Kirchschlag. The S15 Kirchschlag Loop connects the most beautiful stretches of countryside between Kirchschlag, Hellmonsödt, and Zwettl an der Rodl and offers a varied nature and cycling experience in the heart of the Mühlviertel.
