S14 Hellmonsödt-Sonnberg-Reichenau Loop

The S14 Hellmonsödt-Sonnberg-Reichenau Loop starts in the center of Hellmonsödt and initially follows low-traffic side roads toward Zwettl an der Rodl. Through the picturesque landscape of the Rodl Valley, the route passes meadows, fields, and traditional Mühlviertel farms before reaching the town center of Zwettl.

From Zwettl an der Rodl, the route continues over the scenic heights of the SternGartl toward Sonnberg im Mühlkreis. Along the way, you’ll enjoy repeated magnificent views of the gently rolling hills of the Mühlviertel. Passing through the villages and scattered settlements north of Sonnberg, the tour continues to Ramberg and then to Reichenau im Mühlkreis.

After passing through the center of Reichenau, the route heads south toward Haibach im Mühlkreis. This section delights with varied forest trails, open plateaus, and numerous viewpoints. The route winds through the Mühlviertel’s characteristic granite landscape, combining the enjoyment of nature with physical activity.

As the tour continues, it follows quiet side roads through several small villages and over ridges back toward Hellmonsödt.
