S13 Ottenschlag Circuit

The S13 Ottenschlag Loop starts in the center of Ottenschlag in the Mühlkreis district and initially follows quiet side roads through the gently rolling hills of the SternGartl. The route passes through Lichtenstein and continues on to Sauberg, where you’ll already be treated to beautiful views of the surrounding forests, meadows, and farmland-dotted plateaus.

From Sauberg, the tour continues to Schenkenfelden. Once in the town center, the route proceeds via Schild toward Reichenau im Mühlkreis. Along this section of the route, typical Mühlviertel farms, small villages, and scenic high-altitude areas define the landscape. Time and again, impressive panoramic views of the Mühlviertel’s diverse cultural landscape unfold.

As the route continues, the loop winds through peaceful forests and meadows and along quiet roads back toward Ottenschlag. The varied route combines open landscapes with shaded forest passages, offering a particularly diverse nature experience.

Back in Ottenschlag, the loop tour ends once again in the town center. The S13 Ottenschlag Loop impresses with its scenic diversity, numerous viewpoints, and the connection of several characteristic Mühlviertel villages.
