G2 Altenberg Round

The starting point of this approximately 11-kilometer loop trail is the town center of Altenberg near Linz. From here, the trail leads out into the gently rolling landscape of the Mühlviertel region and passes through Haslach on the way to Oberkulm. Around the Hagerberg, open countryside, small patches of forest, and beautiful views of the surrounding area alternate.

The route continues along quiet side roads toward Zinngießing and then back to Altenberg via the Oberklammersiedlung and Altenblicksiedlung neighborhoods. To finish, there’s one more short climb back up to the town center.

A varied, compact loop with the typical ups and downs of the Mühlviertel—ideal for an enjoyable bike ride around Altenberg.
