The gravel tour starts at the Hoftaverne Atzmüller country hotel and takes you directly into the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel. On varied gravel paths, quiet side roads and through dense forests, the route is constantly uphill and downhill - typical of the region.
Towards Guglwald, the route becomes increasingly natural and lonely. Again and again, beautiful views open up over the granite hills, while crisp climbs provide plenty of elevation gain. The passage around Guglwald near the border with the Czech Republic offers a particularly great gravel feeling far away from traffic.
The way back demands more strength, but rewards you with flowing sections and quiet forest passages back to Waxenberg. A total of around 66 km and 1,500 vertical meters await you - a challenging tour for all those who love gravel, nature and vertical meters.
