You start directly at the Hotel FREIGOLD in Freistadt and ride north through the rolling hills of the Mühlviertel. Via Rainbach im Mühlkreis you continue on well-maintained roads, past fields and small villages, until you cross the border into the Czech Republic at Deutsch Hörschlag or in the Cesky Heršlák area. You ride through forests and wide landscapes, via Studánky and Vyšší Brod, always with a view of the Vltava and the valley towards Lipno. The last few kilometers take you through slightly hilly terrain to Lipno nad Vltavou, where the glittering Lipno Lake, promenade, restaurants and numerous leisure options await you - ideal for a break with coffee, cake or a dip in the water before you start your way back to FREIGOLD.
