Ski tour Weyer/Kleinreifling - Bodenwies

Description:
This challenging mountain tour starts at the Viehtaleralm near Kleinreifling and leads over panoramic ridges and steep forest ascents to the Bodenwies. Along the way, you can expect impressive panoramic views of the Ennstal Alps and varied paths between the alpine pasture and summit terrain.Directions:
From the starting point at the Viehtaleralm parking lot, you first cross the alpine pasture in the direction of Bärenkogel, where the ascent begins slowly. Continue along the forest road (trail no. 495) at a moderate incline until you reach a crossroads.

Keep left there in the direction of Schüttbauernalm and then reach the ridge hiking trail no. 496. This soon leaves the forest road and leads somewhat more steeply uphill through the forest, always keeping to the left of the ridge.

At the top, you reach a small plateau with an impressive panoramic view of the Ennstal Alps, which makes an ideal resting point. From here, you can either descend towards the Menaueralm or complete the loop via the Schüttbauernalm back to the Viehtaleralm.

For the further ascent to Bodenwies, follow the steep forest path and then the ridge towards the summit, where the tour becomes increasingly challenging. The summit itself rewards you with a sweeping panoramic view of the entire Enns Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. Return either along the same route back to the plateau or via the Schüttbauernalm back to the starting point.

Safety guidelines:
Every tour should be well planned and prepared. Good equipment with avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe is essential. Weather forecasts, avalanche warnings and safety instructions must be observed.
