Hausruckring

Welcome to the new "HausruckRing" long-distance hiking trail - the "Quellenviertel" tourism region warmly welcomes you and wishes you a wonderful day of hiking in and around the Hausruckwald. This tour was developed together with practically all the towns around this beautiful, distinct forest area in the heart of Upper Austria and with the support of the LEADER regions Vöckla-Ager, Mostland-Hausruck and Mitten im Innviertel. Two hiking and regional experts developed the idea and route. The still young Quellenviertel Tourism Association gratefully accepted this initiative and implemented the tour. What follows will soon be suggestions for five to six day stages on this platform.

The approx. 98 km long circular route was signposted by the 25 municipalities around the Hausruck. The HausruckRing will not be officially opened until fall 2026 - but as the Hausruck region with its former coal mines also has an interesting history and played an important role in the past, another long-distance hiking and themed trail - the SteigerPfad from Haag am Hausruck via Geboltskirchen, Gaspoltshofen, Wolfsegg, Ottnang, Zell am Pettenfirst, Ampflwang to Frankenburg - is already under construction;
