4 Buchberg circular route from Berg i. A.

Family-friendly hike with a picturesque view over the whole of Lake Attersee as far as the Höllengebirge mountains. This view provides a fantastic backdrop for incomparable photos and is also the highlight of the hike.

The starting point is at the parking lot for hikers in the village of Berg im Attergau. Follow the road, which shortly afterwards turns into a forest road. At the water tank, follow the road to the left. You will come to the turn-off to the "Buchberg circular trail", but stay on the forest road until the turn-off into the forest. The markings guide you through the forest to the point where you cross the forest road. Then continue through the forest and across the unique grassy landscape of the Buchberg to the Jägerstüberl (refuge - our tip: take a snack with you), where you can enjoy wonderful views of Lake Attersee and the Attergau landscape.
You can either walk back the same way or turn left along the forest road after the Jägerstüberl.

Special feature: Rest area at the Jägerstüberl (refuge) with a view over Lake Attersee. Ideal as a short family hike. Hike mostly in the forest, therefore suitable in all weathers.
