Oh my god - what a ride! Absolute madness! To get to the Highlands, there's an 18 km warm-up to the highest municipality in the Waldviertel - Bärnkopf. By now you'll know why woodcutting was the number one job here for centuries. From now on, you'll be on the lower handlebars, fleeing from every imaginary axe on the road in the Weinsberg forest. At Martinsberg, you have left the endless forests and have the chance to enjoy the vast poppy fields - provided it is the right time of year. From Ritterkamp, the route climbs beautifully up to the roof of the Mühlviertler Alm - Liebenau has been reached. Perfect roads made for racing bikes make the time fly by. You fly back to Königswiesen with magnificent views of the Alps.
