THE mix - mega variety in the border region of two federal states. The first 18 km are a 500 m climb - burn baby burn, then it doesn't take long before you turn off into a small, dreamy side valley in Griesbach. Whether you want to enjoy this tranquil or less tranquil stretch depends on your speed. Either way, it's a wonderful ride to Groß Gerungs. Now the romance is over and you can really blast along the perfect main road with little traffic as far as Karlstift - here you can really destroy yourselves at the Belgian traffic circle! It's still a short distance to Freistadt where the brewery and/or the main square await. But be careful: don't overdo it with the electrolytes! On the way back to KW, there are still 40 km of elevation gain that will cost you the last of your energy.
