Mühlviertel Gravel: from Summerau to the Czech Republic - explore borders with variety

This varied gravel tour from Summerau station combines a relaxed roll-in with a variety of landscapes and ensures fun from the start on gravel, asphalt and forest paths.

This tour starts comfortably at Summerau train station and leads along a pleasantly flat route through varied landscapes. Right at the start, there are beautiful gravel sections that leave you wanting more. After a gentle roll-in, a longer asphalt section follows - ideal for loosening up the legs and picking up speed in a relaxed manner before heading back into the forest and over open meadow paths towards the end.

A short section with around 30 meters of elevation gain on rough gravel can become a pushing section for some, but is quickly overcome. Otherwise, the route remains easy to ride throughout and offers many scenic highlights on both the Austrian and Czech sides. The steep ramp to the border briefly sets the pulse racing, but is immediately rewarded with a flowing descent on forest paths.
