Gravel tour Böhmerwaldschotter | Guglwald

Starting place: 4191 Vorderweißenbach
Destination: 4191 Vorderweißenbach

The route starts at the Hotel Guglwald in Upper Austria and takes you across the Austrian-Czech border after just a few meters. From there, the route runs almost entirely on the Czech side through the tranquil and densely wooded Bohemian Forest. You cycle on well-surfaced gravel paths and forest roads, past several small lakes and ponds, which give the tour its name.

The route is close to nature and runs through remote forest areas with gentle hills, short climbs and flowing descents. There are hardly any through-town sections, which makes the tour particularly quiet and scenic. After an extensive loop through southern Bohemia, you cross the border back into Austria and return to the Hotel Guglwald, where the tour ends.

The route is ideal for gravel bikes and offers a balanced mix of nature experience, sporting challenge and tranquil atmosphere.
