This 70-kilometre gravel tour with around 1000 meters of elevation gain is a real highlight for anyone looking for a gentle adventure. Right at the start, you roll across wide meadows and fields in the upper Mühlviertel region - with wonderful panoramic views of small, idyllic villages. The climbs are moderate, the paths are well-maintained and the gravel runs as if by itself. You will soon be immersed in the tranquillity of the national park, where dense mixed and coniferous forests alternate and you are riding on over 50% of the finest gravel paths.From the 1/10 border crossing, the route takes you deep into the untouched nature of the Šumava National Park - accompanied by the Schwarzenberg Alluvial Canal, soft forest soil and small clearings with views of the Vltava reservoir. Along the way, quaint kiosks invite you to take a break - perfect for a coffee or a snack.
