Mühlviertel Gravel: Three countries full of gravel

Starting place: 4161 Ulrichsberg
Destination: 4161 Ulrichsberg
With a gravel section of over 40%, the route mainly leads along small forest paths, forest roads and well-maintained cycle paths - classic roads are almost completely avoided.

Passing the Dreisesselberg, the route crosses the border into the Czech Republic at Haidmühle. This is where the most beautiful part of the tour begins: endless gravel sections, quiet forests and the historic Schwarzenberg alluvial canal, which you follow for a while until you reach the Vltava reservoir. The return journey takes you across the green border back to Ulrichsberg.

The route is technically easy, but physically demanding due to its length and undulating elevation profile. There are several refreshment stops along the way - on the Austrian, German and Czech sides. A tour that shows what gravel biking in the border triangle can mean: lots of gravel, lots of space and lots of nature.
