The circular route is dedicated to Father Franz Xaver Blasl (1890–1971). He was not only a pastor but also a passionate composer and local poet. With more than 3,000 poems, many of which are dedicated to his homeland, he made an important contribution to regional cultural history.

Directions:The F.X. Blasl route is an easy circular path of about 1.6 km around Losenstein, ideal for a relaxed walk with the whole family. The starting point is at Tennisplatz Losenstein (Großauweg 5), where ample parking is available. From here, the path leads mostly on flat, family-friendly sections with only about 45 m of ascent and descent through the surroundings of the market town – a perfect short distance for connoisseurs and culture lovers.
Tip:The F.X. Blasl route is ideal for environmentally friendly arrival. On site, there is a bike parking area as well as a charging station for e-bikes, making it perfect to arrive at the starting point by bike and then enjoy the route on foot.
Also, the starting point is easily accessible by public transport: Losenstein train station is only about a 5-minute walk from the start.
Public Transit
The F.X. Blasl route starts near Losenstein train station and is thus ideally accessible by public transport. From Linz, a regional train runs hourly to the Ennstal, with a travel time of about 1 hour. There are also regular direct connections from Steyr to Losenstein – perfect for a relaxed and environmentally friendly arrival.
