The tour starts at the Wurm-Manzenreiter riding hostel or at the parking lot at the Lampaka Ranch on the outskirts of Freistadt.

First, the route leads up to the Kalvarienberg with its baroque church, from where there is a wide view of the surrounding countryside. The trail then leads through the wild and romantic Thurytal valley before reaching the medieval brewing town of Freistadt. You ride along the imposing town wall past the traditional Braucommune - one of the oldest communally run breweries in Europe. This riding tour combines nature, history and culture in a very special way and offers a unique opportunity to experience Freistadt from a new perspective - on horseback and surrounded by historical flair.
