From the horse-drawn railroad to whisky - riding with history and taste
The starting point for this trail riding tour is the Pranstetterhof-Stroblmair riding stables in Neumarkt im Mühlkreis.

The route first follows the Gusen river and then leads along a historic section of the former horse-drawn railroad line - a trail full of memories of times gone by, nestled in the charming hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel.

Between Neumarkt and Sallersdorf, picturesque Steinbloß farms line the route - typical Mühlviertel farmhouses with their striking granite facades that tell stories from centuries ago. The destination of the tour is a special highlight for connoisseurs: the whisky distillery Erlebnis- & Genusswelt Affenzeller in Alberndorf, where regional craftsmanship and fine wines come together. This tour combines cultural heritage with a culinary experience - a journey for all the senses in the saddle.
