Traun-Almrunde

The Traun-Alm circuit starts at the Mayrdorfer inn and runs alongside the Hafeld circuit as far as the bus stop on Sattledter Landesstraße.

After crossing it, the route takes us straight on into Zausetstraße, which we follow through the residential area to the end. At the rest bench, we head out into the heart of nature and, after a short stretch, come upon the Trepplweg along the Traun, which we follow to the left, upstream. Here, we follow the river, taking in all the beauty of the natural surroundings and the water itself. At the end of the Trepplweg, we cross under the Traun Bridge and join the newly renovated Trepplweg along the Alm river, continuing to a small hydroelectric power station on the Alm and the Almsteg. Once there, it’s worth taking a short detour to catch a glimpse of the Alm’s river landscape from the viewing platform on the footbridge. However, the path continues to the left over the bridge spanning the Stegmühlbach, where, at the veterinary surgery, we rejoin the Hafeld Runde route, which takes us back to the starting point: the former car park at the Fischerstuben inn.
