Oberweitersdorf - Aich - Luegstetten - horse-drawn railway trail - Willingdorf - Loitzendorf - Oberweitersdor
The Peter Affenzeller whisky distillery is an excellent starting point for a hike. In addition to parking facilities, you also have a rewarding destination right in front of you. At the beginning, follow hiking trail A15 downhill for a while until it joins trail A13 at a bend. This now follows the goods road to Aich. After the "Klambauer" farmstead, turn left into the "Zauberwald" forest, where you are accompanied by the sound of the Bürstenbach stream. Beautiful forest and field paths offer hikers a comfortable walk via Luegstetten to the horse-drawn railway hiking trail, where the Gusental nature reserve also lies ahead. Now you hike north along the horse-drawn railway trail, through beautiful forests along the small Gusen river and past fish ponds. Just south of the Schneiderwiese barbecue area, the hike branches off from the horse-drawn railway trail and leads uphill to the west towards Willingdorf, where it then branches off to the left towards Loitzendorf. Passing the water lily pond, the highest point of this hike, you return to Oberweitersdorf on field and goods roads, where the Peter Affenzeller whisky distillery invites you to enjoy a well-earned refreshment. Please get in touch for more information.
