The hike on the "Einkehrweg" in Wippenham is a hike for anyone who wants to combine nature, gentle hills and culinary delights. With a length of approx. 7 km, the route leads along idyllic paths.
The hike begins in the center of Wippenham, a small village in the heart of the Innviertel region. From here you head straight into the countryside, along the railroad line towards Gurten. The path leads you parallel to the tracks and offers a clear view of the surrounding fields and meadows, which are characterized by traditional farms.
After a short time, you reach the **Gurtenbach**, which meanders leisurely through the landscape. The gentle murmur of the water accompanies you as you hike over small bridges and shady riverside paths.
The path to the Loryhof is a more challenging section. Once at the top, you reach the Loryhof, a traditional farm that not only impresses with its picturesque location, but is also a popular place to stop for a bite to eat.
The route continues towards Geretsdorf. The route takes you through gently undulating countryside, past green meadows and small farmsteads. Here you can enjoy the typical Innviertel landscape to the full - wide fields that glow in lush green or golden tones depending on the season. Again and again you have wonderful views over the hilly landscape, which promises peace and relaxation.
The last section finally takes you back to Wippenham. Before you reach the village center again, it is worth taking one last look at the idyllic surroundings and the peaceful landscape that makes this hike so special.
