"The starting point is the car park at the sports centre, next to which there is also a spacious children's playground. This walking trail with signposting of the flora and fauna runs through the Wimbergwald forest. With the installation of fitness stations and a barefoot path, the "woodpecker trail", known as the forest and wildlife nature trail, has been made even more attractive, especially for children.

At the various stations, the Verschönerungsverein placed particular emphasis on the connection with nature. Trees, pine cones and tree trunks serve as gymnastic equipment and invite children to join in. In addition to a number of climbing ropes, the newly installed badger tree, which was hollowed out with great effort and serves as a favourite hiding place for the children, is also very popular with the children. However, the forest offers many more possibilities, so there are no
limits to the ideas.
