The Traun flows through the Salzkammergut, a rural cultural region that will be the European Capital of Culture in 2024. It is used to cross municipal and national borders. In water pilgrimages, borders are overcome: external geographical and political borders, but also internal borders. Inspired by flowing water that finds its own path, life can find ways towards a more human coexistence.
The first stage goes from Roitham am Traunfall to Traunkirchen.
