G9 Alberndorf Runde

Circular route from Alberndorf via Steinbach and Kelzendorf with 3 refreshment stops

We start on the main road heading south and then turn right into the village of Schlammersdorf, which we cross before reaching the Klammmühle mill on Gusentalstraße. We follow the Große Gusen downhill to the junction to Steinbach, where the route climbs again, mostly in the forest and along the Steinbach. The Stoabach inn is a good place to stop for a rest and recharge your batteries for the next few metres uphill. In Weignersedt, we reach the Altenberg district road, which we follow to Baumgarten, where we turn off towards Kelzendorf. Here, the Dorfwirt Enzenhofer is a good place to stop for a bite to eat before we head downhill via Weikersdorf back to the Klammmühle. Now we follow the Große Gusen uphill for a while, so we cycle in all 4 directions at the crossroads at the Klammmühle. At the Zeurz stream, we turn right, ride steeply uphill to Zeurz and back to Alberndorf via the sports field, where the Pizzeria Palermo awaits us at the end of the tour.
