The interplay between man and nature
Art Your Village - the foreign gaze

Global Home – Herbert Egger
A wickerwork of wooden slats forms the shape of a house. The flora and fauna can move into this house. Over time, the wood will weather and nature will take possession of it. The people of St Konrad will decide whether or at what stage of weathering this sculpture should be removed. Art project by Herbert Egger.
Art Your Village - the outside view
The exploratory artistic view from the outside is directed at local communities, traditions and rituals, history and stories, cultural activities, perhaps even conflicts and points of contention.
Karoline Hjorth & Riita Ikonen - Eyes as big as plates
7-bridge path between the swimming lake "Badessee" and the inn "Gasthof Silbermair", open from 21st June 2024.
The work is the photographic conclusion of the encounters with people from St. Konrad, in which the participants are transformed into a figure that blends in with the surroundings at a location of their choice. The ongoing project "Eyes as big as plates" reflects the closeness to nature of today's people and plans to actively involve the participants in the creation of the photographic portrait. The four portraits of people from St. Konrad will be joined by just as many from distant countries.
