Waldlehrpfad Windhaag bei Freistadt

The forest nature trail is approx. 3 km long, suitable for pushchairs and barrier-free up to the log cabin. You can enjoy refreshments during the hike in the log cabin on the archery trail or afterwards in the inn on the forest nature trail.

The mascot, a squirrel called "Piebi", designed by Windhagen primary school pupils, guides visitors through the forest nature trail and provides interesting information and background knowledge. What you have learnt is put to the test in a riddle and thus consolidated straight away. As a surprise, you can pick up a bag of flower seeds at the inn on the forest nature trail, which you can use to make your garden bloom at home and thus make a valuable contribution to bee and insect meadows.
