On the circular hiking trails 4 - 7 we find a corresponding short description and explanation at all chapels, wayside shrines and wayside crosses.
The first highlight of these hikes is right at the beginning the parish church Vöcklamarkt "Maria Himmelfahrt", which is also called the "cathedral of the Vöcklatal" because of its size.

Now we follow the markings through the village and leave it by turning left into Schroppgasse shortly after the GH Rauchenschwandner. Now we hike in a southerly direction to the Marktwald. Shortly after the underpass of the Westbahn line we come to a
we come to a plague chapel. From there, the trail climbs moderately steeply into the Marktwald.
As soon as we have left the forest again, we can already see the Baumann Chapel. Now we hike further in the direction of Mösendorf. Here we have to cross the busy B1 (be careful!). In Mösendorf it is worth taking a short detour (approx. 150 m) to the Filial church Mösendorf. In front of the church there is also an old Roman stone, which reminds us that a major Roman road once passed by here. We now hike back to the turnoff "Güterweg Mösendorf". We should not miss the short detour (about 150m) to the Eitzinger
Eitzinger Chapel. Our hike now leads us through the settlement area and then further on a field path to the edge of the forest. Here we cross a small rivulet on a narrow footbridge. There we are greeted by the village of Schmidham.

Shortly after this striking point we reach a fork in the path, where a shortcut can be made via variant 3 (route 6). However, we hike along a beautiful hiking trail on the right via route V1 (route 4) and shortly after we come to a small pond, where it is wonderful to relax.
We continue on the slightly ascending path and pass the Binder-Reisinger wayside shrine and the Schmidhamer Wegkeuz. Finally, the path leads us into the large village of Schmidham. On the old Attergau Landesstraße, which once led through the middle of the village, it is worth taking a short detour (approx. 200m) to the left to the village chapel. Here at the village chapel you can decide whether you want to take a shortcut via Route V2 (Route 5).
direction Walchen.
But we stay on route V1 (route 4) and therefore have to go back a bit. In the center of the village we find the signs that guide us to the underpass of the Attergau Landesstraße (Schmidham bypass). There we leave Schmidham again. Quite comfortably it goes
on field paths in an easterly direction. We enjoy the wonderfully cultivated cultural and natural landscape as well as the magnificent view of the hills and mountains to the south.
We cross the railroad line of the Attergauer Lokalbahn and approach the village of Maulham. Immediately before Maulham stands the Meinhart wayside cross. Here you can enjoy the silence.
After Maulham we continue hiking in an easterly direction. On our way to Reichenthalheim we pass another wayside shrine. Down in Reichenthalheim, the Landgasthof Nussbaumer is an excellent place to stop for a snack and a rest.

Our circular hike now continues along the left bank of the Dürren Ager. Even if you would like to follow the quietly babbling brook for a longer time, it is important to turn left immediately after the forest section up to Unteralberting to the village chapel. From the small village of Unteralberting, we then hike in a westerly direction to Hörading. Here the short detour (approx. 200 m) to the Hollerweg chapel is worthwhile.
From Hörading we now walk up to the B1 federal road. In the area of the wholesale market Greinöcker&Willibald we can cross the road (extreme caution is advised!). We now hike up to the village of Waschprechting. Right at the beginning of the village, next to the road, stands the village chapel Waschprechting. We then walk through the village. At the end of the village (at the fire station) we walk straight ahead on a field path to the edge of the forest. For a short time we walk along the edge of the forest, but soon the path leads down to the right through the forest until we finally reach the Frankenburger Landesstraße again. We cross this road through a small underpass and then hike a short distance in a westerly direction along the (mostly waterless) Mösentaler Bach stream until we reach the local train station
or ÖBB train station Vöcklamarkt. There we use the underpass of the Westbahn line and then return to the starting point of the circular hike.
