Die Katzensteinermühle stand ursprünglich im Küpferner Hammergraben und war seit dem Jahr 1820 die Hausmühle von vier Gehöften und bis 1955 in Betrieb. 1978 wurde die Mühle abgebaut und Stück für Stück übersiedelt.
Neben der Katzensteinermühle wurde ein alter Getreidespeicher aus dem Jahr 1850 der "Troadkasten" wieder errichtet. In diesem Troadkasten kann man die Geschichte der Müllerei, vom Reibsteibn aus dem 6. vorchristlichen Jahrhundert bis zur hochmodernen Industriemühle der Gegenwart nachvollziehen. Als neueste Attraktion kann man im Freigelände bei der Katzensteinermühle eine sogenannte Gattersäge bestaunen.
Das Umfeld der Katzensteinermühle wurde im Jahr 2005 neu gestaltet. Ein Fischaufstieg ermöglicht es nun den verschiedenen Arten, wie Forellen, Äschen, Barben, Huchen usw., ihre natürlichen Wanderzüge durchzuführen. Das automatische Wehr gewährleistet einen besseren Hochwasserschutz.
