On trail No. 28 first up the road to Ahornplatz, then right on the Sattelweg to the Holzerbauer snack station and continue on a beautiful hiking trail to the saddle (highest point) and down to Schwarzensee. Return on the same path.
Refreshment stops: Gasthaus zur Lore und Almstadl on the western shore of the Schwarzensee and Jausenstation Holzerbauer.
