Description: Please note that the Trans National Park is only signposted in one direction: from Steyr to Johnsbach.
On the Trans National Park route between Haslersgatter and Steyrsteg, the path is partially washed out by storms, please be careful!
Note from Nationalpark Oö Kalkalpen GmbH:Please note that due to global warming, natural events such as storms, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail, floods or mudslides occur more frequently and therefore changes to the road surface or the route can occur at any time. Travelling on the MTB trail network in the Kalkalpen National Park is at your own risk and responsibility. As a user, you are responsible in particular for your choice of route, orientation in the terrain, compliance with traffic regulations, the equipment and gear on your bike, wearing a helmet, assessing your personal fitness, assessing dangers and maintaining an appropriate speed. When travelling through the tunnels, you must use a headlamp or a light attached to your bike. The National Park administration accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage caused by the use of the National Park tour suggestions, in particular for accidents.
In the middle of the wilderness: Crossing the wooded and lonely Kalkalpen National Park to the pretty climatic health resort of Windischgarsten.
Attention: This stage is one of the two longest and at the same time the most demanding of the entire Trans National Park. If you are on the road with an E MTB, then divide your battery carefully and do not ride at the highest level even with a 625 Wh battery.
