The starting point is the car park at the Hengstpass. The first stop is at the Puglalm. At this rustic alpine hut you will be spoilt with homemade bacon, freshly prepared bratl and Styrian cheese bread. The "baked mice" are an insider tip.
Continue along the adventure trail from alp to alp to the Laussabaueralm, your second hut stop. The alpine pasture is idyllically situated between the Haller Mauern and the Kampermauern nature reserve. Here, Sieglinde, the innkeeper, prepares small warm dishes and rich snacks for you. Especially popular at the Laussabaueralm, however, are the wonderfully fragrant farmer's doughnuts.
After the rest, follow the path along the Rotkreuzbach stream to the Rotkreuzkapelle chapel. The last culinary stop is at the Karlhütte. The Strolz family spoils you here with homemade dumplings, Kasspatzn and the particularly popular Alm-Sauerrahmschmarren. From there you are back at your starting point in just a few minutes.
Shopping tip: Dilly's Knödelwerkstatt MO-FR 8 am - 12:30 pm
