On the road in hinterstoder

The tour starts at the Höss mountain railways in Hinterstoder. The gondola takes you up to the Hutterer Böden. If you are already in the mood for a culinary break, make a detour to the Lögerhütte.  The hut, which is open all year round, is known for its hearty hospitality and home-style cooking - including hut fun. The "Stodertaler Mostbratl", freshly prepared every day, is considered a speciality of the house. There are also regular culinary events, such as barbecue evenings or selected menus.

Continuing along hiking trail no. 31, past the Untere Edtbaueralm, you come to the Steyrsbergerreith. The 350-year-old rustic hut is probably one of the oldest alpine pastures in the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region.  Everything that ends up in the Platzer family's pot or oven comes from the region and is homemade. The cattle are kept and processed on their own farm in Vorderstoder. But also the farmhouse bread as well as butter and cooked cheese are homemade according to old recipes. Enjoy a hearty snack and listen to the bells of the grazing cattle all around.

After the break, continue along hiking trail no. 31 in the direction of Landhotel Gressenbauer. The head of the house redefines down-to-earth gastronomy. Regional cuisine and seasonal dishes are the top priorities here.  The char and trout on the menu are a speciality. The fish are freshly caught and come from the restaurant's own well.
