Walking Pleasure Tour | Variant 2

Take advantage of our hiking taxi service to get to your starting point, the Großhütte in Spital am Pyhrn. From there, take hiking trail no. 618 up to the Hofalm. Enjoy the wonderful view of the Windischgarstnertal valley from the sun terrace. For refreshment, there are typical alpine pasture and snack dishes.

Descend on trail no. 618 via the Hiaslalm to the Bosruckhütte, the next hut where you can make a culinary stop. Here you will be spoilt by the Pal family with roast pork, real Hungarian goulash, Kaiserschmarrn or good Zirbenschnaps. Follow the road in the direction of the car park.

Finally, you can pay a visit to the Trattenbacher Genussstub'n: a small, fine snack station with warm cuisine. Young landlady Katharina will spoil you with delicious snack variations, such as the Trattenbacher Genussjausn, but also with summer salads.
With a bit of luck, you'll catch a day when they even serve a fresh wood-fired roast. There are also excellent homemade desserts with seasonal fruits.
