Hiking pleasure tour | Variant 1

The starting point is the Dr.-Vogelgesang-Klamm car park in the Grünau district of Spital am Pyhrn. From here it takes about 30 minutes to walk to the entrance to the gorge. In the gorge itself, you then walk up many steps, past wild waters and gorges. After the exit you come to a road, follow it. After a few hundred metres, you will see a small sign on the right indicating the way to the Ochsenwaldalm. After another 3 minutes of walking, you have reached your first culinary destination - the Ochsenwaldalm.  There is no hustle and bustle or stress here, because what counts most at the Ochsenwaldalm is cosiness and time for togetherness. Renate and Herbert, the hosts of the alpine pasture, spoil you with traditional delicacies, fresh farmer's bread and fragrant farmer's doughnuts. Beer and cider are cooled in the well in front of the alp.

After the relaxing break, you return to Spital am Pyhrn along hiking trail no. 612 via Stiftsreith. Finally, enjoy a well-deserved homemade pastry with a cup of coffee at Café Kemetmüller - or cool down with a delicious homemade ice cream. Strudel lovers take note: Thursday is strudel day, when Johanna and her team will spoil you with a variety of fresh strudels!
